Dear Miss Ruston,

I wonder if the Advisory Committee's Report on Hong Kong University is yet to be issued. Discussion on the future of the University will start as soon as I get back and copies of the Report would assist, since for the raising of funds we must instruct local Chinese opinion. My colleagues in England are aggrieved because they do not know what is proposed and to what extent the proposals, if accepted, will affect their

careers.

I would therefore ask that 10

15 copies should

be sent to me in Hong Kong as early as possible and that copies should be sent to

Prof. Forster, Bardswell Rd., Oxford. Ride, 22, Vicarage Court,

Kensington Church Street, London.

Redmond, Fairfield,

Enniscorthy,

Co. Wixford,

Eire.

Col. Sir Richard Needham, C.M.G.,

Grosvenor House,

Park Lane, W.1.

(Sir Richard has carried out a number of inspections of medical teaching for the G.M.C. and is very interested.)

Sir Hector Hetherington,

Chairman Colonial University Grants Ctt.

/Prof.
